Where you can't fly with a pet

Pets traveling to Hawaii and internationally have additional requirements (State of Hawaii quarantine/entry rules). Note: Hawaiian Airlines is owned by Alaska Air Group and now operates under a single operating certificate with Alaska; pet policy is shared ('Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines'), and hawaiianairlines.com's domestic contract of carriage now redirects to Alaska's. The detailed in-cabin policy pages are script-rendered and could not be read, so the fee and carrier size come from the official Alaska Airlines newsroom article (Aug 26, 2026) plus the official fee range on the pet overview pages. Species listed as dog only because the newsroom article mentions only dogs; whether cats (and other species Alaska accepts) are accepted on Hawaiian flights was not verified. An older Hawaiian contract of carriage (hawaiianairlines.co.nz, undated) listed different values ($35 within Hawaii / $175 Hawaii to North America; 16" x 10" x 9.5" soft-sided; 25 lb) and is treated as outdated.
